He was predeceased by: his wife Carol; his son John Dahlin; his great grandchild Emma Smrekar; his siblings, Roger and Mary; and his parents, Arnold and Josephine.
He is survived by: his children, Cindy Rice (Tom), David and Steve; his grandchildren, Carolyn (Ryan), Joshua, Tom (Sarah) and Lindsey (Scott); and his brothers, Peter and Dennis. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
