She was predeceased by: her parents, Harry Holmes and Flora Holmes; her siblings, Robert, Eugene Holmes and Lois Holmes Larsen; her brother-in-law Ian Proudfoot; her daughter-in-law Lori Rappa; and her husband Bernard P. Rappa of Andrew's Lutheran Church.
She is survived by: her sisters-in-law, Ann Proudfoot and Joan Holmes; her nephews, Scott (Mary Lynn), Richard (Renda), Bradley (Nicky), Steve and Christopher (Ann); her grandchildren, Anthony, Mary (Kenyon), Nick, Joseph, Matthew, Sofia (Julian), Hunter, Nicholas, Johnny, Alex, Eleni, Aydan, Peter and Amalia; her great grandchildren, Mila, Kallen and Rendalisa; and her close friend Janet Halverson.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made to Alzheimer's prevention or school supplies for teachers.
