With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of John Sampson of Stillwater, Minnesota, born in Aberdeen, South Dakota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on January 28, 2026 at the age of 85. He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur Sampson and Faith Sampson (Pierce); and his brother Bob. He is survived by: his wife Nancy Gackstetter; his children, Mike Bushman (Debbie), Michele Kluck (Jim), Mark Bushman (Shirley), Melissa Cunningham (Bob), Monique Gainor (Jeff) and Jonathan Sampson; his siblings, Tom Sampson (Cris) and Melody Ness (Allen); Jonathan, Mike, Michele, Mark, Melissa and Monique.
