He was predeceased by: his wife Beth Miner; his parents, Ranlet Miner and Anne Oviatt; his stepparents, Diana Miner and Bud Oviatt; his sister Anne Richardson; and his brother-in-law Brad Richardson.
He is survived by: his half-brother Dana Oviatt (Carol); his grandchildren, Seth, Steven Miner, Zoe, Ivy Lampert and Annie; and also, Tim Miner (Ellen Montgomery) and Elzabeth Lampert.
Ran and Beth were married for 60 years (Beth died in 2020 from complications of Alzheimer's). [Beth's Obit] Ran and Beth chose to make their life together in Minnesota, where he taught at St. Paul Academy, remaining on the faculty for 39 years.
