He was predeceased by: his father James Gust, Sr.; his sister-in-law Honi Gust (Jeremy); and his grandparents, John, Georgianna Gust (Svoboda), Gilmore and Alice Gregerson (Gunderson).
He is survived by: his mother Ruth Gust (Gregerson); his son Kyle Stuart Gust (Brittany); his stepgrandchild Cameron Schmidt; his siblings, Jason Gust (Carol), James Jr. Gust (Pam), Ramona Johnston (Dale), Steven Gust (Missy), Richard Gust (Becky) and Jeremy Gust; and his close friend Jon Dostal. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.
Visitation will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Helgeson Funeral Home (1207 3rd St NE, Roseau, MN 56751). A funeral service will be held on Monday, November 24th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
