With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Colleen O. Peterson (Sunburg, Minnesota), who passed away on June 1, 2025 at the age of 82. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
As Colleen departs from our midst, her spirit ascends to join the cosmic dance of stars, a shimmering constellation of memories that will forever grace the night sky of the hearts of those who loved Colleen. Though Colleen may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Arnold Kjos and Esther Kjos (Medalen); and her brothers, Fred Kjos (Faye) and Hanley Wiig. She is survived by: her husband Bruce Peterson; and her brother Carl Kjos (Barbara Jean). She is also survived by ses other relatives and many friends.
Visitation will be held on Monday, June 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM. A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, June 10th 2025 from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at the Sunburg Free Lutheran Church (25840 133rd St NW, Sunburg, MN 56289).
She had been suffering from Alzheimer's Disease for several years.
