She was predeceased by: her parents, Maurice Hedberg and Marie Hedberg (Leerssen); her sister-in-law Margit Hedberg; and her son-in-law Scott Keyport. She is survived by: her daughters, Patty Keyport, Rachel Meinert (Brian) and Debra Anderson; her grandchildren, Joe Keyport, Kathryn Keyport, Jack Meinert, Lauren Meinert and Grace Meinert; and her brothers, Marvin Hedberg and Leon Hedberg (Kathi).

Barb began working at the Hazelden Foundation in Center City, Minnesota in 1984 and worked there for 28 years, ending her career as Manager of the Corporate Database Team.

“Sorry for your loss. I fondly remember Barbara as a kind and sensitive soul. When I was hospitalized for 113 days as a junior in high school she wrote me a number of letters to keep me updated on our class happenings. Her letters always included things that made me smile. I especially enjoyed her description of trying to put on her one piece long underwear so she could stay warm doing her chores on the farm. I hope her memories give you some comfort during this difficult period. Dick Waisanen”
