He was predeceased by: his father Melvin Pervis; his uncle Ronnie Meekma (Suzie); and his aunt Joyce Meekma. He is survived by: his mother Judith Pervis (Meekma); his wife Staci Pervis; his children, James Pervis, Lilly Miller and Emily Gilginas; his siblings, Melvin Pervis, Jr., Jonathan Pervis (Angie), Wayne Pervis (Beth) and Amy Bantin (Russell); his uncle Glenn Meekma; and his aunts, Linda Banfe and June Turner (Terry). He is also survived by 7 grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.

It was not uncommon for him to make donations to worthy charities in an effort to help others.
