She was predeceased by: her husband Nilo Rantanen; her parents, Bruno Bukowski and Clara Bukowski; and her siblings, Irene Bukowski, Christine Black (John), Joe Bukowski, Hank Bukowski (Jeanette) and Aloysie Bukowski.

She is survived by: her children, Ann Rantanen-Lee (Dale) of Blaine, MN, Marg Toren (Gary) of Alvarado, MN, Paula Vandale (Jean) of New Braunfels, TX, Dan Rantanen (Becky) of Detroit Lakes, MN and Rik Rantanen of Warroad, MN; her grandchildren, Danielle Harms (Mark), Jake Rantanen (Lora), Molly Rantanen Rustad (Mark), Alison Toren, Marisa Quesnell (Carson) and Nick Rantanen; and her great grandchildren, Riley, Mason (Marissa), Addy, Keegan, Reese, Kendal, Lucas and Nickson. She is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Memorials are suggested to American Legion Auxiliary Post 444, St Joseph's Ladies Guild, and Middle River Finnish Cemetery.
