“Everett was my teacher, my mentor. He taught me to love the language and that words were alive . I was an average student until I met him. He made teaching fun. I used his techniques in my English classes. I was his understudy when I was a sophomore at Northland Junior College and his student teacher. He showed grammar could be fun and teaching became my career . It was because of Everett that I became a teacher at Oklee High School for 44 fun years. Everett you were my inspiration.”
