He was predeceased by: his parents, Eddie Hamre and Gertrude Hamre (Novacek); his brother Donald Hamre; and his siblings-in-law, Lowell Bohn and Barbara Hamre.

He is survived by: his wife Patricia Noxon; his children, Jean Peterson (Kevin), Thomas Hamre (Brenda) and Todd Hamre; his grandchildren, Allison Hamre, Jason Peterson, Katelyn Hamre, Jack Peterson, Chad Hamre and Cory Hamre; his siblings, Patricia Bohn and Gene Hamre; and his sister-in-law Roberta Hamre. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews and friends.

Memorials may be directed to the family for later designation.
