With profound sadness, we say goodbye to Gunhild DuChamp of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, whose vibrant spirit touched the lives of many. Gunhild left this world on July 14, 2025 at the age of 103, leaving a void in the lives of so many people. She was predeceased by: her parents, Mikkel Nesland and Gunne Nesland (Roysland); her husband Jesse DuChamp; her siblings, Gertie Haugen (Sam), Torkel Nesland (Stella), Targie Nesland, Tillie Aaskeland (Orville), Ole Nesland, Knute Nesland (Stella), Julia Clausen (Floyd) and Theresa Blaine (Alvin); and her in-laws, Wallace DuChamp (Louella), Robert DuChamp (Camille) and Marcella Bugge (Cliff).
She is survived by: her children, Leonard DuChamp (Miko) of Bremerton, WA, Jana Granum (Mark) of Sioux Falls, SD, James DuChamp (Deborah) of Plummer, MN, Candice Stanley (Daniel) of Bradenton, FL and Cathy Samuelson (Kevin) of Sarles, ND; her grandchildren, Chris DuChamp (Bobbi), Nikki DuChamp (Jayar), Marci Kloety (Steve), Tim Granum (Stacy), Danica Stanley, Nicholas DuChamp (Rika), Sam Granum, Brady Samuelson and Jesse Stanley; and her great grandchildren, Lenisa, Jonsaih, Bryce, Bret, Raejay, Julia, Leon and Jazmin. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 from 9:30 AM to 10:30 AM at the Immanuel Lutheran Church (190 Pleth Ave, Plummer, MN 56748). A funeral service will be held on Tuesday, July 22nd 2025 at 10:30 AM at the same location.
