It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Harlan Almen of Thief River Falls, Minnesota, who passed away on September 21, 2025, at the age of 66, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harlen Gerald Almen and Shirley Damen-Ackerland; his son Jason Gervais; his sisters, Shirlyn and Kimberly; his nephew Nicholas Miller; his great-niece Mya Miller; and his aunts and uncles, Mavis Monson, Shirley Wardinski, Dennis Wardinski and Glen Monson.
He is survived by: his grandson Blake Schultz; his brother Steven L. Almen; his sibling's children, Kathryn Litchy (Evan) of Thompson, ND, Stacey Lamont (John Sorenson) and Kenneth Miller (Amanda); and his great-nieces and great-nephews, Kaina Litchy, Kason Litchy, Mariah Lamont, Jordyn Lamont, Carter Sebenaler and McKenna Sebenaler. He is also survived by several cousins, relatives, and friends.
Visitation was held on Monday, September 29th 2025 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service (420 Labree Ave, Thief River Falls, MN 56701).
