He was predeceased by : his parents, Arthur Swan and Annabelle Swan (Windahl); and his siblings, Vernon Swan (Betty), Wendell Swan (Delphine), Robert Swan (Beverly), Lois Maki (Harold), Jean Grindeland (Bill), Dorothy and Joyce Knutson (Sidney).

He is survived by : his wife Mary Swan; his sons, Troy Swan (Dawna) of Princeton, MN, Chad Swan (Lisa) of Brainerd, MN and Dustin Swan (Amy) of Otsego, MN; his grandchildren, Tory Swan, Korbyn Dale, Julia Holm (Wesley), Jackson Harding, Carly Ashley (Collin), Noah Swan and Riley Swan; his great grandchildren, Grayson Swan, Carson Dale and Eyla Dale; and his sister Sonya Pederson (Gaylord). He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.

Visitation was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 10:00 AM at the Nazareth Lutheran Church (202 Marshall Ave, Holt, MN 56738). A memorial service was held on Monday, April 29th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
