Though Joan may no longer walk beside us, her legacy lives on — a testament to the enduring power of love to transcend the boundaries of time and space.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Reuben Liimatainen and Rose Marie Liimatainen (Nelson); and her in-laws, Erwin and Lylla Minks. She is survived by: her husband Denny Minks; her son Brian Minks of Grand Forks, ND; her sisters, Julie Lyytinen (Roger) of Cloquet, MN and Jolene Wagner (Don) of Deer Creek, MN; and her sister-in-law Joan Minks of Princeton, MN. She is also survived by many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church-Thief River (505 Main Ave N, Thief River Falls, MN 56701). A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
