He is survived by: his parents, James Lenard Counter and Marilyn Rosella Counter (Lodermeier); his daughter Kyrie Counter; his sister Denise Johnson; his godson Ryan Thompson; his godparents, Fred and Judy Ettel; his close friend Fran Spears; his stepchildren, Chasitiy and Jazzmine; his stepgrandson Silas; Andrew.
Visitation was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service - Thief River (105 Governor St, Oklee, MN 56742). A celebration of life was held on Friday, December 5th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
