She was predeceased by: her husband Orville Ness; her parents, Herman and Maria; and her siblings, Saima, Siiri, Suama (Sue), Signe, Sally, Aune, Taito (Ted), Alvar, Donald, Leonard, Wayne and George.
She is survived by: her daughter Maria Niemela (Vainionpaa); and her close friend Mary Gerardy. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews; grand-nieces and grand-nephews.
