We are sad to announce that on September 22, 2025, at the age of 83, Orrin Aune of Thief River Falls, Minnesota passed away. Family and friends are welcome to send flowers or leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Olaf Aune and Paula Aune (Buck); his significant other Jackie; his siblings, Jay Aune and Carol Aune; his siblings-in-law, Richard (Judy), Bob Swanson (Carol), Mearl Kibler, Roger Graff and Marlene (Hank Schraufnagel); Charles and Verna Spencer.
He is survived by: his children, Lon Aune (Kristy), Kim Paxton (John) of Greeley, CO and Gwen Munguia (Jason) of Centennial, CO; his grandchild Kelsey Clausen (Jared); his great grandchildren, Peter, Micah, Anna, Eden and Luke of Grand Forks, ND; his grandchildren, Kyle Aune and Spencer Aune (Keary); his great grandchildren, Philip, Josephine and Charlotte "Lottie" of Bismarck, ND; his grandchildren, Alyssa Munguia of Centennial, CO., Jason Munguia of Scottsdale, AZ, Haley Paxton of Northridge, CA and Laiken Strawn (Eric); his great grandchildren, Weston and Cameron; his grandchild Brooke Paxton of Tucson, AZ; his siblings, Janis Jesme (Floyd), Gerald Aune (Val), Mavis Newton (Dale), Raymond Aune (Sue), Connie Graff and Lyle Aune (Julie); and his sisters-in-law, Sharon Kibler and Donna Ritter (Duane). He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives, and friends.
Visitation will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service (420 Labree Ave, Thief River Falls, MN 56701). A memorial service will be held on Friday, October 10th 2025 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
