He is survived by: his father Darwin Melvin; his children, Robb Troy (Jeanie) of Detroit Lakes, Minnesota and Sarah Hughes (Jeremy) of Fargo; his stepson Shannon Willett (Dawn) of Iowa; his close friend Candace Ness; his grandchildren, Damian, Devon, Rylee, Brooklyn, Lincoln (Hattie), Holden and Grayson; his great grandchild Wryker; and his siblings, Geri Walker, James Troy Sr., Sharon Olson and Susan Jankowsky. He is also survived by his in-laws, nieces, nephews.
