He was predeceased by: his parents, Benny Gustafson and Mary Eva Gustafson (Kennedy); his wife Beverly Ann Haugen of Bernard's Catholic Church; and his siblings, Jack Gustafson, Beverly Fisher and Lee Gustafson.
He is survived by: his children, Marci Ann Lull of Bemidji, MN, Vicki Diane De Koeyer (David) of Kenswick Ridge, New Brunswick, Kathi Lynne Sorter of Sioux Falls, SD and Cory Thomas Gustafson (Dawn) of Viking, MN; his grandchildren, Jamie Kevin Lull (Brooke), Amber Kaye Sorter (Austin), Trent Thomas Sorter, Dylan Thomas Gustafson (Chantal), Tyson Marshall Gustafson and Kylie Ann Gustafson; his great grandchildren, April Lull, Sarah Lull, Levi Tice, Harper Tice and Isla Hier; and his brother Gary Gustafson (Marlys) of Roseau, MN. He is also survived by many other relatives and friends.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Johnson Funeral Service (420 Labree Ave, Thief River Falls, MN 56701). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, November 21st 2026 at 2:00 PM at the same location.
