He was predeceased by: his parents, William Armbrust and Lydia Armbrust (Milbrandt); his wife Muriel Armbrust; and his siblings, Gordon, Wallace, Lawrence, Ray, Don, Robert, William, Harvey Armbrust, Wilma Aarke, Ruby Lewis, Faye Cutler and Fern Bulfer.

He is survived by: his children, Mary and Joel Armbrust (Diane) of Fairmont, MN; his grandson Ben Armbrust (Amber); his great grandchild Waylon; his grandson Eric Armbrust (Alissa); his great grandchildren, Holdynn, Willow and Angela Korte (Alan); his children, Roman, Nora and Rachel Jones (Andy); his grandchildren, Vera and Lennon; his daughter Ruth Firchau (Lon) of Mankato, MN; his granddaughter Jada Draper (Douglas); his great grandchild Oscar; his grandchild Paige Thomas (Kyle); his great grandchildren, Merrick and Waverly; his sister-in-law Audrey Armbrust; his nephew Larry Johnson; Mary Haake (Bart) of Pepin, WI, Jordan Haake and Caiden Haake. He is also survived by many other nieces, nephews.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred to Waverly Lutheran Church in rural Trimont.
