It is with great sadness that we announce the death of David Prestegord of Twin Valley, Minnesota, who passed away on December 2, 2025, at the age of 68, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Martin Prestegord and Irma Prestegord (Allrich); his siblings, Virgil Prestegord, Stacey Prestegord and Heidi Boe; his brothers-in-law, Lowell Bencker and Jeffrey Bencker; and his siblings' children, Tanya Thornton Walz and Cody Prestegord.
He is survived by: his wife Phyllis Prestegord; his son Austin; his siblings, Valley, Phillis Weium (Lynn) and LeAnn Houglum (Larry); and his siblings-in-law, Verona Prestegord, Wendy Davison, Jody Bencker (Shanon) and Patrick Bencker (Lea). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Anderson Family Funeral Home (215 Main Ave E, Twin Valley, MN 56584). A prayer was held on Tuesday, December 9th 2025 at 6:30 PM at the same location. A funeral service was held on Wednesday, December 10th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Zion Lutheran Church (212 Pleasant Ave SW, Twin Valley, MN 56584).
