He was predeceased by: his sons, Brett and Mark; his former wife Georgia; and his siblings, Dalbert, Floyd, Vernon, Lavina Maki and Ivadell Johnson.
He is survived by: his children, Keith Johnson (Karen) of Fort Myers, FL, Cindy (Thomas Moore) of Ely, MN and Peggy Shaw (Thomas) of Lakeville, MN; his grandchildren, Raina, Seth, Robyn, Bjorn and Trevor; his brothers, Kenneth (Margaret) of Hermantown and Marvin (Martha) of Saginaw; and his close friends, Jason Nelson, Caleb Nelson of Two Harbors and Rachel Wilcox of Brainerd. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other family, and friends.
A funeral service will be held on Thursday, October 9th 2025 at 10:00 AM and at 11:00 AM at the Grace Lutheran Church (5454 Miller Trunk Hwy, Hermantown, MN 55811).
