He was predeceased by: his parent Isakki; his wife Tuula Marjatta Kuusiluoma; his brother Erkki Harju (Alli); and his nephew John Harju (Penni). He is survived by: his son Don Michael Harju (Andrea); his grandchildren, Fynn and Ilo; and his great-nephew Erik (Megan).
A memorial service will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the Bethlehem Lutheran Church (601 4th Ave, Two Harbors, MN 55616).
