It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Martha F. Hoven (Two Harbors, Minnesota), who passed away on May 1, 2026, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Martha F. Hoven to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Alfred Hugstad and Elsie Hugstad (Lonergan); her husband David Hoven; her grandson Zachary Shogren; and her siblings, David, James Hugstad and Mary Monson.
She is survived by: her children, Matt Hoven (Nadine), Jenny Shogren (Jim) and Jon Hoven (Lee Ann); her grandchildren, Krissy Cuzzo (Alex), Evan Shogren, Ben Hoven (Eva), Katie Lee Hoven, Eva Vogel (Mike) and Elizabeth Hoven; her great grandchildren, Lincoln and Emma Hoven; her brother Paul Hugstad (Wendy); and her close friend Jim Hanson. She is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Emmanuel Lutheran Church (602 4th Ave, Two Harbors, MN 55616). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, May 16th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
Memorials are preferred to Emmanuel Lutheran Church and the Two Harbors Public Library.
