It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of Steven D. Swanson of Two Harbors, Minnesota, who passed away on August 25, 2025, at the age of 52, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his grandparents, John, Norma Swanson, Harold and Doris Scotland; and his uncles, Ardell, Gary, Eldon Swanson and David Brown.
He is survived by: his parents, Dennis Swanson and Jan Swanson (Scotland); his siblings, Ryan and Jerrae; his siblings' children, Malin, Gunnar and Hunter (Sada); his godchildren, Trey Fleck, Nate Swanson and Finn Werner; his aunts and uncles, Marlys Wisch, Sharolyn Blanchard, Carol Swanson, Lee Scotland (Polly) and Nadine Brown; his former wife Jade Cavallin; Hardy and Rip. He is also survived by many cousins and friends, along with his firefighting brothers and sisters.
In keeping with his wishes, he was able to give the gift of life through organ donation.
