She was predeceased by: her parents, Lars Peterson and Clara Peterson (Romslo); her children, Rodney Steichen and Barbara Cossette; her siblings, Paul Peterson and Alice Steichen; and her nephew Alan Steichen.
She is survived by: her children, John Steichen (Victoria) of Volcan, Kenneth Steichen of Ulen, Perry Steichen of Connecticut, Lori Eken (Kent) of Audubon and Lynette Juve (Dale) of Grand Forks, ND; her son-in-law Joe Cossette of Moorhead, MN; her grandchildren, Lindsey Rice (DJ), Tyler Steichen (Brittany), Mitch Steichen (Hannah), Jocelyn Frazee (Chad), Kara Peroni (Nate), Samuel Eken (Lexie), Amber Eken (Jayden), Adam Eken, Taylor Juve (Maddy) and Trevor Juve; her great grandchildren, Brody, Vincent, Isaac, Autumn, Isabelle, Oliver and Liam; her sister-in-law Annette Steichen of Shoreview, MN; and her close friends, Sharon Geist and Carol Airehart. She is also survived by nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Bethlehem Lutheran Church or to Hearts In Action (previously known as Hospice of The Red River Valley).
