He was predeceased by: his parents, Roger Knopfler and Linda Knopfler (Wang); his uncle Verne Knopfler; and his pet Alco. He is survived by: his children, Danielle Knopfler (Anthony Toczek) and Casey Fevig (Mariah); and his grandchildren, Warren Donald and Isla Fevig.
