He was predeceased by : his father Donald; and his father-in-law Francis Widmer. He is survived by : his wife Sue; his children, Aaron, Andrew and Allison; his mother Barb; his sisters, Kim Zarling and Kandi Sohm; his mother-in-law Janet Widmer; his sisters-in-law, Anne Wilson (Chad Anderson) and Becky Haapanen (Brian); and his pet Oreo. He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
