He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Beissel and Josephine Beissel (Siebenaler); his wife Virginia Wollmering; his daughter Linda Beissel; his grandson Alexander Beissel; his children-in-law, Deanna Beissel and James Green; his nephews, Jeffrey Rice and Darryl Rice; his brother Peter Beissel Jr.; and his brothers-in-law, Wayne Beard and Carl Rice.
He is survived by: his children, Duane Beissel (Janice) of Hastings, Floyd Beissel (Ray) of Apple Valley, Kevin Beissel (Jeff) of Prior Lake, Randy Beissel (Roxy) of Hastings, Allen Beissel (Teresa) of Hastings, Karla Green of Hastings and Donna Beissel (Gary) of Hampton; his siblings, Mary Beard, Joe Beissel (Jeanette), Marcelline Rice, Rosie Utz (Bob), Ben Beissel (Joan), Irene Brochman (Melvin) and Larry Beissel (LuAnn); and his sister-in-law Diane Beissel. He is also survived by nineteen grandchildren and many great-grandchildren.
