He was predeceased by: his parents, Royal Walter Burns and Jeanette (Jean); and his brother Jim Burns. He is survived by: his children, Richard (Rick) and Renee Burns; his stepgrandchildren, Jackie Oster (David) and Jenny (Eric Simon); his great grandchildren, Brianna, Dylan, Sam, Brayden and Lexi; his great great grandchild Curtis; and his sister Sylvia Korby (Steve Helmer).
