He was predeceased by: his parents, Walter Krantz and Dorothy Krantz; his parents-in-law, Lester and Ruth Carlson; and his brother-in-law Eduardo Acaso.

He is survived by: his wife Linda Krantz; his sons, Andrew Krantz (Patricia) of Victoria, David Krantz (Alex) of Crystal and James Krantz (Sarah) of Eden Prairie; his grandchildren, Charlotte, Chloe Krantz, Orion and Neo Krantz; his siblings, Loren Krantz (Linda) of Plymouth and Kathleen Acaso of Minneapolis; and his siblings-in-law, Steve and Margaret Carlson of New York City. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and many dear friends.

In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
