He was predeceased by : his parents, Evelyn Young Hoogenakker and Edward Hoogenakker; his brother Donald; his sister-in-law Lorraine Hoogenakker; and his daughter-in-law Teri Aluni Hoogenakker.

He is survived by : his spouse Sandy (Sandra Harer).

Visitation was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Westwood Community Church (3121 Westwood Dr, Excelsior, MN 55317). A memorial service was held on Friday, April 26th 2024 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
