He was predeceased by: his parents, Barney Cox and Irene Cox (Mullen); his siblings, Harold Purtle, Wilma Warfield and Darlene Cleeton; his siblings-in-law, Don Warfield, Jay Cleeton and Marilyn Purtle; his son Morris Cox; his stepgrandson Darren Baumann; and his stepdaughter-in-law Cheryl Lappi.
He is survived by: his former spouse Mardel Jonson; his wife Donna Lappi; his children, Douglas Cox (Barbara) and JoDei Marcella; his stepchildren, Diane Lappi, Kathy Lappi, Randy Lappi (JoAnn), Kevin Lappi, Danny Lappi and Ricky Lappi (Karen); his sister Mary Shaw; and his close friend Donna Simmons. He is also survived by six grandchildren and their spouses; two step grandchildren and their spouses; thirteen great-grandchildren; two step great-grandchildren.
