He was predeceased by: his parents, Frederick Markwardt and Mary Markwardt. He is survived by: his wife Marjorie; his children, David (Nancy) of Ely, Susan (Mike) of Plymouth and Paul (Annie) of Farmington, Minnesota; and his brother Frederick Charles Jr. of Stillwater, Minnesota.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; two great-grandchildren.
