She was predeceased by: her parents, Swante Nurmi and Julia Nurmi (Heikkila); and her husband Alroy Bode. She is survived by: her children, Sharon Fairchild (Jim) of Hibbing, Brenda Norenberg (Daryl) of Hibbing and Robert Bode of Hibbing; and her brother Willard Nurmi (Agnes) of Lewiston, Idaho. She is also survived by 6 grandkids, 18 great grandkids; and 3 great great grandkids.
She was a nurses assistant at Leisure Hills for a short time, and worked in the RSVP volunteer program helping pack lunches for meals on Wheels and in the dining room at the Lee Center.
