She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Bernard Johnson and Margaret Johnson (Engman); her daughters, Christine Parker (Michael) of Port Charlotte and Dr. Bridget Sundell (Jeff) of Ely; her brother Warren (Ethel); her grandchildren, Christopher Parker (Jessica), Matthew Parker (Stephanie), Nicholas Parker (Kim), Olivia Carlino (Ryan), Ava Sundell and Grace Sundell; and her great grandchildren, Owen, Madalyn Parker, Angelo, Blake Conavatti and Cole Hegstad.
A memorial gathering will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Gethsemane Evangelical Lutheran Church (901 4th St S, Virginia, MN 55792). A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location. A burial will be held on Saturday, May 30th 2026 at 12:00 PM at the Greenwood Cemetery (1126 9th St N, Virginia, MN 55792).
Gretchen requests that donations be made to scholarship funds for students wishing to further their education in serving others.
