He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Tangen and Joanna Tangen (Phelps); and his father-in-law Gerry Mike. He is survived by: his wife Suzette; his children, Sarah, Rachel and John; his siblings, Neil Tangen (Kathy) and Karen Tangen-Mueller (Doug); his mother-in-law Betty Mike; his brother-in-law Jeffrey Mike (Jackie); his uncle Corlyce (Jerry); and his great-aunts, Dollie Tangen and Lois Tangen. He is also survived by four nieces, 8 great-nephews and 2 great-nieces; aunt.

In lieu of flowers donations made to the family are preferred.
