He was predeceased by: his parents, Russell Phaneuf and Lillian Phaneuf; his siblings, Vivian Muhich (Robert) and William "Bill" (Roger); his in-laws, Ross Josephson, MaryJo Phaneuf and Phillip Thoennes; his grandson Stephen Hill; Alfred and Ailie Josephson.
He is survived by: his children, Julie Phaneuf-Hill (Brian), Jerri Lynn Carron Jodie (Duane Zamlen), Joy Kolstad (Jon), Scott Phaneuf and Mark Phaneuf (Katie); his siblings, Barbara Thoennes and James Phaneuf; and his brother-in-law Mark Josephson (Kate). He is also survived by 17 Grandchildren and 16 Great-Grandchildren.
