She is survived by: her children, Maria Nellis (Grant) of Delano and Steven Allan Strand Jr. (Heidi) of Hoyt Lakes; her grandchildren, Kassie Strand of Virginia, Rachel Harrington (Jacob) of St. Louis Park, Hannah Nellis of Minneapolis, Vanessa Strand of Biwabik, Ben Nellis of Delano and Luke Strand of Hoyt Lakes; her siblings, Cecilia Devine (Greg) and Dan Devine (Kim); and her siblings-in-law, Ann Devine, Barb King, Butch Strand, Susan Berglund and Judy Seurer (John). She is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly asks that donations be made to the United Way Buddy Backpacks, the Friends of the Virginia Public Library or the American Cancer Society in Mary's memory.
