Ruth Koski Obituary

We bid farewell to Ruth Koski of Virginia, Minnesota, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on October 16, 2025 at the age of 97. Ruth touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

She was predeceased by: her parents, Dr. Armas K. E. and Lydia Holmio (Mackey); her husband Bob; her siblings, Judith Beckquist and Aarne Holmio; her niece Barbara Beckquist; her daughter-in-law Roberta Koski; and her siblings-in-law, Salome Holmio, William Beckquist and John Koski.

She is survived by: her children, Gail Drake (Bill) of Petroskey, MI, David Koski of Britt and Matthew Koski of Virginia; her grandchildren, Elliott, Michael Drake (Allison), Robert, Tatiana Koski, Matti and Hunter Koski; and her sister-in-law Eldora Koski.

Memorials are preferred and may be directed to: Joyful Noise! music fund, the organ tuning fund, or the Somebody Cares fund, all at Gethsemane; or to ELCA World Hunger.
