He was predeceased by: his parents, Wilfred Elkington and Olga Elkington (Gunderson); his sister Sandy Dingman; his brother-in-law Noel Dingman; his brother Randy Elkington; his brother-in-law Roger Edstrom; his niece Cindy; and his stepgrandson Matthew Entner.
He is survived by: his children, Ryan Elkington (Wendy) of Virginia and Desiree Kolterman (John) of Mt. Iron; his sisters, Nancy Elkington of Minneapolis, MN and Donna Edstrom of Texas; his sister-in-law Susie Elkington; his former wife Judy Elkington of Virginia, MN; his grandchildren, Hunter Hoard, Mollie Banks, Ryder Kolterman and Josh Johnson; and his great grandchildren, Aubree and Gabi. He is also survived by numerous extended family members and friends.
