We announce the death of Jim A Barton of Wabasha, Minnesota, who passed away on September 15, 2026, at the age of 70. Jim will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Barton and Mary Barton (Stamschror); and his brother Steve Barton. He is survived by: his wife Mary Ann Barton; his children, Jesse Barton (Stephanie) of Mazeppa, MN, Jarod Barton (Brooke) of Lake City, MN and Justin Barton (Erica) of Plainview, MN; his siblings, Tom Barton (Barb), Kate Heins, Sharon Streveler (Al), Pete Barton (Barb), MaryKay Springer (Charles), Bruce Barton (Judy), Barb Quade (Pete), Carolyn Klees (Don), Bill Barton and Terese Wallerich (Pete); and his siblings-in-law, Gilbert Arnoldy (Carol) and Jane Haas. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and MANY MANY nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Monday, September 21st 2026 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 10:30 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday, September 22nd 2026 at 11:30 AM at the St. Felix Catholic Church (117 3rd St W, Wabasha, MN 55981).
