He was predeceased by: his father Gerald Mathias; his nephew Brandon Mathias; and his brother-in-law Thomas Smith. He is survived by: his mother Ruth Ann (Sommers); his siblings, Julie Smith, Shelly Roberts (David) and Rob Mathias (Val); and his nieces and nephews, Shane Stamschror (Elizabeth Cherek), Allison O'Neill (Brian), Abbey Pollock (Ben), Carly Tousignant (Cole) and Melissa Lawler (Jason). He is also survived by family and friends, especially his mother.
