With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Richard James Kreye of Wabasha, Minnesota, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 16, 2025 at the age of 89. He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Kreye and Mary Kreye; his spouse Cornetta "Corky" Sandberg; and his great grandchild Jazlynn. He is survived by: his children, Debra (Keith Mueller), Jim (Vickie Kreye), Mike Kreye (Kass Abbott Bailey), Jean (Steve Schwalbe) and Susie Allen (Curt Duellman); his grandchildren, Heather, Kimberly, Melissa, Jennifer, Josh, Evan, Michaela, Jake, Zack, Connor and Jaden; his great grandchildren, Malakai, Alaya, Noah, Aiden, Sam, Nora, Lucy, Jaylen, Tyler, Gracie, Addison, Celia, Madisyn, Bexlee, Brynley, Elliemae, April, Chelsie and Maribeth; his great great grandchildren, Onyx and Hayes; and his sister-in-law Margaret Kreye. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, July 24th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 10:00 AM. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 11:00 AM at the St. Felix Catholic Church (117 3rd St W, Wabasha, MN 55981). A graveside service will be held on Friday, July 25th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the St. Felix Cemetery (1210 Rustic Ln, Wabasha, MN 55981).
