He was predeceased by: his parents, George Wise and Florence Wise (Lehnertz); and his parents-in-law, Leo and Loretta Eversman (Klees). He is survived by: his wife Jan; his children, Carrie McCormick, Christopher (Mindy) and Brian (Valerie); his grandchildren, Madison McCormick (Derek), Brenna McCormick, Joseph Wise (Allison), Andrew Wise (Lindsey), Elliot Wise (Mateya), Charlotte Wise and June Wise; his great grandchildren, Russell, Lennon and Adelyn; his sister Elaine Galewski; his siblings-in-law, Ron Galewski, Duane Mullenbach, Noel Hohberger, John Stopski, Tom, Tim Eversman, Bonnie Eversman, Jean Stopski (Eversman), Judy Eversman and Mary Eversman; his niece Kristin Soderstrom; and his great-nephew Carter Eversman.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Monday, October 20th 2025 from 10:30 AM to 11:30 AM. A prayer will be held on Sunday, October 19th 2025 at 7:00 PM at the Abbott Funeral Home & Crematory (236 2nd St W, Wabasha, MN 55981). A Mass of Christian burial will be held on Monday, October 20th 2025 at 11:30 AM at the St. Felix Catholic Church (117 3rd St W, Wabasha, MN 55981).
