It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Allen H. Schmitz of Waconia, Minnesota, who passed away on March 22, 2026, at the age of 96, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Henry Schmitz and Barbara Schmitz (Woerdehoff); his former wife Phyllis Ruby (Ruby); his children, James and Alice; and his brother Sylvester Schmitz (Pauline).
He is survived by: his wife Irish; his daughters, Joan Evans (Robley) of Mendota Heights, Carol Duffy (Mike) of Minneapolis and Susie Schmitz of West St; his grandchildren, Mary Joseph Evans, Paul Evans (Leah), Theresa Evans, Sr., Martha Maria Guadalupe Evans, Philip Evans (Kathleen), Anna Evans, Jon Duffy (Liz), Tim Duffy, Sarah Blom (Kyle), James Duffy and Theresa Lee Schmitz; and his sisters-in-law, Kathleen Haley and Mary Arens (Jerry). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Joseph Catholic STEM School in Waconia.
