We announce the death of James B. Morton of Waconia, Minnesota, born in High Point, North Carolina, who passed away on September 14, 2026, at the age of 93. James will be remembered by family members, friends, and others whose lives were connected in meaningful ways. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of James B. He was predeceased by: his in-laws, Gilbert and Lillian Stahlke; his sons, Donald and Bradford; and his grandson Nick.
He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Morton (Stahlke); and his children, Lynda Sohns (Brad), Jim Morton (Chris), Susan Kelley (Rick), Scott Morton (Donna) and Diana Anderson (Keith). He is also survived by 13 grandchildren., and 21 great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held on Monday, October 5th 2026 at 6:30 PM at the Johnson Funeral Home (141 E 1st St, Waconia, MN 55387).
In lieu of flowers, memorials are preferred.
