It is with sadness that the passing of James H. Seltz of Waconia, Minnesota is shared. James, born on September 2, 1948, passed away on July 25, 2026. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Herbert Seltz and Rose Seltz; his parents-in-law, Melvin and Josephine Rickert (Uecker); his sister-in-law LaVonne Matheny; and his nephew Ryan Siverhus.
He is survived by: his wife Lana Seltz (Rickert); his children, Stacey Plagge (Timothy) of Cologne, Andrew Seltz of Waconia and Bobby Seltz (Christi) of Waconia; his grandchildren, Lillianna (Aaron Leszczynski), Lydia Plagge, Stefinn, Maeya and Aarlo Seltz; his sister Barbara Siverhus (Gary) of Victoria; his siblings-in-law, Dennis, Diane Rickert of Hastings, MN, Dale, Janis Rickert of Kansas City, MO, Carol and Brett Dwinnell of Florida; his aunt Margaret Lofthus of Florida; and his cousin Junell Lofthus (Bill) of Florida. He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends.
The family extends heartfelt gratitude to the Ridgeview Hospice team for the compassionate care, dignity, and kindness they provided Jim during his struggle with Alzheimer's.
