She was predeceased by: her parents, Lawrence Magnuson and Grace Magnuson (Mayer); her siblings, Wayne, Darrell, John, Irven, Elnora and Vera; and her nephews, Troy and Jim.

She is survived by: her nephews, Larry, Mark (Cindy), Tagg (Michelle) and Thad. She is also survived by cousins, other family members, and friends.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Hope Central Christian Church (241 Hwy 55, Kimball, MN 55353). A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, October 13th 2026 at 11:00 AM at the same location.

In honor of Mavis, memorials may be directed to the University of Minnesota Raptor Center.
